Clint Eastwood directs and stars as an ageing drug courier in this American crime drama. Based on a true story, the film follows 90-year-old divorced war veteran Earl Stone (Eastwood) in his new role as a drug runner for the Mexican Sinaloa cartel. After losing his family and his home, Earl seeks to atone for his failures as a husband and a father by paying for his granddaughter's wedding and earn enough money to move back into his home. A chance job opportunity leads to a lucrative partnership with the cartel, but Earl risks losing more than his new job when the Drug Enforcement Administration start to close in on his misdeeds. The cast also includes Bradley Cooper, Laurence Fishburne, Michael Pena, Dianne Wiest and Andy Garcia. |
